The Climate Justice Alliance hosted a People’s Climate Justice Summit on Sept. 22 and 23, 2014, featuring the voices, strategies, and solutions of climate-affected communities around the world.
While heads of state met at the United Nations right next door for the U.N. Climate Summit, which represents yet another step towards the corporate takeover of the U.N. climate negotiations and the privatization of land, water, and air resources under the guise of a global climate impact; The Climate Justice Alliance brought together representatives from communities across the country that are united for a Just Transition away from an economy based on fossil fuel extraction and other dirty industries, and towards clean community energy.
