Washington DC, 2017 Presidential Inauguration
“As protectors and defenders of our communities, rights, and Mother Earth we descend upon Washington DC during the presidential inauguration to express our unified vision of resistance, love and movement.”
The following is a schedule of Indigenous-focused events, happening thru Jan 19 – 22nd 2017, organized or coordinated with Indigenous Environmental Network:
Thursday, Jan 19th

8 pm EST, Hotel Monaco DC – “Stop Koch Brothers and Phillip 66 Round Dance” at the Oklahoma State Society Inaugural Gala. Meet at 7pm EST at National Portrait Gallery.
Friday, Jan 20th

930Action at Department of Energy and HUD. “Women of Color protect the land, water, and housing for all of us.” Beginning at 1000 Independence Ave, DC.

930 am, Occupy Inauguration Morning Rally, Malcolm X Park (Meridian Hill Park) DC

12pm, Occupy Inauguration March begins, leaving from Malcolm X Park (Meridian Hill Park)

12pm, #DisruptJ20 March Begins, “Festival of Resistance”, Columbus Circle
Both Marches will converge at the DC Convention Center and march on to McPherson Square
